Slower, heated movement designed to help you feel grounded and steady in your body.

Soulmat is an intimate, semi-private yoga studio designed to support grounded, intentional movement. With just five mats per class, the experience is calm, focused, and deeply personal.
We combine infrared heat, red light therapy, and thoughtful sequencing to help you slow down, breathe deeper, and move with awareness. Every element is chosen with intention, to support regulation and connection.

A consistent, breath-to-movement flow that builds strength and flexibility while keeping you grounded.
The heated and red light infused sequence stays the same so your body and mind can settle, deepen, and feel safe.

A heated, higher-energy class designed to build heat without chaos.
Strong, intentional movement in red light that challenges you while staying connected to breath and control.

Slow, deeply supported stretching paired with heat and red light to promote recovery, circulation, and relaxation.

Hi, I'm McKensie!
A certified yoga instructor and health coach who wanted movement to feel grounding instead of draining.
After years of burnout driven workouts, I created Soulmat, a space that is rooted in intention, consistency, and nervous system support.

What should I expect?
When you arrive, you'll park in front of Ideal Health and enter through their front door. I'll meet you inside and guide you to the studio space. Classes are small and personal, so you'll get individual attention, clear cueing, and space to move at your own pace.
Expect good music, infrared heat (80-85 degrees in our Flow and Ignite classes), red light therapy in all three classes, and a welcoming vibe. Whether you're flowing or stretching each class is designed to help you feel strong, grounded, and at home in your body.
What should I bring to class?
Bring a yoga mat, water bottle, and a towel (can be a small hand towel!). If you have your own yoga blocks or props, feel free to bring those too-- but we have extras if you need them.
Do I have to be flexible or "good" at yoga?
Not even a little. SoulMat is built for real humans-- all levels, all bodies, all energies. You don't need to know the name of any poses. Just come as you are, and we'll meet you with movement that supports you. While I recommend classes "Flow" or "Recover" for newcomers, you can still find your version of success. This is about how you feel, not how you look.
Do all classes include red light therapy?
Yes! We use red light intentionally in all three of our classes, Flow, Ignite and Recover. We combine infrared heat and red light therapy to boost circulation, enhance detoxification, and accelerate muscle recovery-- so you leave feeling stronger, lighter, and more energized from the inside out.
Where do I park and how do I find the studio?
You'll park right in front of ideal health in Elk River (that's where SoulMat is located). Head inside and we'll be there to walk you back to class. If it's your first time, show up about 10 minutes early so we can get you settled and say hi!
What should I wear?
Wear whatever you feel good moving in! Most people come in leggings, shorts or a comfy set-- something stretchy and breathable. For heated classes like Flow and Ignite, expect to sweat a little, so moisture-wicking fabrics are your best friend. No shoes needed-- we practice barefoot.
What's the cancellation or no-show policy?
Cancel at least 2 hours in advance to avoid losing a credit. Your first no-show is a freebie- life happens. After that, your second no-show will cost you one class credit. We keep it flexible but also respect your spot and the space we share with others.
